runners_dozen_backPlimsoll Gear® will be sponsoring team Runners Dozen in the Blue Ridge Relay this weekend. The 208 mile race is one of the longest running relay races in the United States. It takes place in the picturesque Blue Ridge and Black Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina.

“We are very excited about Plimsoll Gear® sponsoring team Runners Dozen for the Blue Ridge Relay”, said DJ Femia, Founder and Sea.E.O. of Plimsoll Gear®. “The Plimsoll Gear® brand is about living a balanced life and this means different things to different people. Our brand resonates with the mantra of runners everywhere, and we love the team oriented aspect of this event.”

The race starts at Grayson Highlands State Park in Grayson County, VA, which is near the base of Mount Rogers, the highest peak in Virginia. The course primarily follows scenic, country roads as it winds its way through North Carolina’s High Country to the finish in Asheville. The course features some of the region’s most spectacular scenery including the balds of Grayson Highlands State Park, the New River, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, and Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi River.

Plimsoll Gear will keep you updated throughout the two day event with photos, videos and blog posts from the team.
